The towns in the Main-Spessart region have been able to preserve what they have grown into and retain their medieval town centers. Here you can stroll and shop or sit in a street café. Don’t miss a visit to the famous moated castle of Mespelbrunn, also romantically known as the “fairytale castle”.
The Hafenlohr valley near Rothenbuch is particularly attractive, an old cultural landscape that is ideal for cyclists or motorcyclists who prefer a leisurely, scenic tour. Narrow, winding roads stretch almost endlessly through the protected valley, whose sensitive wet meadows may not be entered.
